Mitel 5000 Communications Platform (CP) is the ideal platform for small and medium businesses interested in the latest technology and application capability but not necessarily ready to go with a pure IP solution. As the 5000 CP solution natively provides both digital and IP capabilities, you will be able to easily adapt your system and grow it over time and at your own pace. With the 5000 CP’s feature-rich network capabilities, you will be able to effectively connect geographically dispersed employees and locations, whether linking offices and applications together over a data network or deploying digital and IP phones to on-site employees. The 5000 CP includes a complete suite of business applications out of the box, including unified voice messaging, hot desking, Meet-Me Conferencing, ACD and enhanced mobility with Dynamic Extension Express and teleworking. In addition, it supports the same award-winning Mitel Unified Communications Application portfolio that is used with the Mitel enterprise platform, MCD. The 5000 CP supports 250 users in multiple sites and may be networked with an existing Inter-Tel Axxess communications system, offering backwards migration compatibility and expansion of IP networking.

Sixteen programmable multi-function keys and 10 fixed function keys allow users to customize their phone and provide one-touch access to the most commonly used telephony functions and settings. Additionally, a built-in jack allows headsets to be attached to the phone without interfering with handset operation. The 8568 Telephone supports both the Mitel Programmable Key Module (PKM) 12 and the Mitel Programmable Key Module (PKM) 48 for additional programmable keys and DSS / BLF functionality.
